CREATIVITY AT IT’S FINEST

Out With The Old... In With The New

Spring is here and it’s a great time to start thinking about home improvements. Freshening up our homes with a Spring Clean, organising and getting both our inside and outside spaces ready to enjoy the Summer. It’s what long weekends and bank holidays are made for.

Changes can range from a new BBQ and planting up a splash of colour in the garden to bigger home improvement projects. Spring and Summer are the perfect time to start thinking about changing your windows and doors. Making changes like this really does give your home a new look and in this month’s blog we will show you just how much the right choices can lift your home to the next level.

This charming property in Birchington is tucked away in its own secret nook. The property has been revamped in its original colour: Chartwell Green. Chartwell Green is a beautiful choice, giving an air of country charm to your home. Lighter and decidedly more subtle than other greens in the colour palette, Chartwell Green is the ideal hue to make any home look striking and classic.

This very particular shade of green was chosen by Sir Winston Churchill to decorate his Kentish country home, Chartwell House. He is said to have painted his garden furniture in the colour and started a real trend with the high society of the times.

The owners of this Birchington property have chosen the Modus frame which is perfectly in keeping with the look of their home. They asked P&P Windows to remove the old, tired looking timber frames and give their home an eye-catching makeover. The choice of PVC means these windows will need nothing more than a wipe down to keep them looking pristine. The new Modus products spruce up the original colour while remaining true to the originality and history of this beautiful building. The smooth casement windows give the property a traditional finish and the flush sash has a heritage look with a modern twist. The new burst of Chartwell Green against the darker brick work really makes the building stand out for all the right reasons.

I’m sure you’ll agree that this is an amazing make over and certainly comes under the term ‘home improvement’. We hope that the owners are as in love with their installation as we are and go on to enjoy their investment for many years. If you have a traditional home and wish to maintain the look and history, while living with the benefits and efficiency of modern windows then give us a call.
